Men's Basketball wins Conference Semi-Final

The Penn State Wilkes Barre Men's Basketball team advances to the PSUAC Conference Championship with a win over Penn State Shenango 65-40. Wilkes dominated both quarters of play by 9 or more points, scoring 27 points in the first half followed by 38 in the second. In the first half the game was generally tight as with 7 minutes left it was tied 14-14, this was followed by a Wilkes run to 27 and only allowing Shenango to score 4 more points in the half. Wilkes kept up the pressure and only allowed Shenango to score 22 points and held them scoreless for nearly 6 minutes. 

The leading scorers from the game were Jheron Dawson-Johnson with 21 points and Jordan Williams with 16, this was followed by Khlil White with 12 points off the bench. On the defensive side, William Pierce led the team with 10 defensive rebounds. As a team, Wilkes made 46% of their field goals and were 38% from 3 points range. 

The win moves Wilkes on to the PSUAC Championship on Sunday February 24th against Penn State York at Bryce Jordan Center.
