Penn State Wilkes Barre wins their first game of 2018 season.

Penn State Wilkes Barre played an impressive match against the winless Penn State Worthington Scranton soccer team. Penn State Scranton's Tuy Gashema would be the first to score in the 8th mintue. Kyle Kurzynsk, assisted by Philip Torres, would answer back in the 33rd minute to make it 1-1. Ricky Woodtich would then score in the 65th, 78th, and 89 minute. Penn State Scranton's Ja Cole would score in the 68th minute.

Collin Master, Goal keeper, had an great game. Collin faced a total of 17 shots while saving 13 through out the 90 minute contest, which includes saving a game tying Penatly Kick in the 84th minute.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre committed a total of 7 fouls, while Penn State Worthington Scranton committed 11 fouls.  Both teams would have players booked.  Defender, Courtney Day, would issued a yellow card after tackling a player from behimd in the 84 minute.  Midfielder, Tom Miller, was issued a straight red card after a violent challenge occurred in the penatly box.  This then resulted in a pk conversion by Ricky Wooditch, this goal earned him a hatrick for the contest.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre Soccer team's next game will be on Saturday October 6th against Penn State Mont Alto at 12:00pm. The game will be played at Lake Lehman High School.
