(Lehman, PA) – Simone London scored 16 points to lead all players in the win Saturday against Penn State Du Bois, 61-58. Adding in the scoring was Majeedah Nealy with 11 points and Jannae Hall Gaddy added a game high 13 rebounds.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre utilized jumpers from Jacqueline Rabender and Simone London and foul shots by Deanna Thomas and Sierra Eskridge to control the game from the opening tip and never looked back.
Du Bois would not let the game get away, evening the game at multiple points and taking the lead on Melody Young jumper at 9:46 in the third quarter. Wilkes-Barre regain the lead on a London jump shot on the next play.
The women return to action Tuesday as the Women and Men travel to Penn State Hazelton for a double header.
