Women's Basketball Loses a Close Game to Scranton

Your Penn State Wilkes Barre Women's Basketball Team lost a hard fought game to Penn State Scranton thispast Wednesday. Clairmanie Curtis was Wilkes barre's leading scorer with 15 points on 5 of 9 shooting, she also led the team with 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Wilkes Barre held Scranton to just a 17.4% shooting percentage from 3 however, they fell just short at the end. This game was close from the beginning with Wilkes Barre trailing by only 2 at the half. Wilkes Barre pulled back to even the score by the end of the 3rd quarter thank to a Curtis jumpshot that tied the game with 30 seconds left in the 3rd. Unfortunatlely Scranton just managed to hold off Wilkes Barre thanks to a Kaneski layup with 11 second left to go up 60-59. 

Your Penn State Wilkes Barre Women's Basketball Team will play again on Sunday February 10th at 1pm at home so come out and support your girls as they try to bounce back with a win against Lehigh Valley.
