Baseball Wins 9th Straight Game

Yesterday, Penn State Wilkes-Barre's Baseball team came away with a 10-4 victory over Penn State Hazleton. The Mountain Lions broke the game open with a 4-run 4th inning, and then a 5-run 7th inning. PSU Wilkes-Barre saw the ball well on offense, having a potential to score runs in almost every inning. The leader on offense for the game was Eric Adamczyk, who went 3-4 with a walk and 1 RBI. Other key contributors were Zach Sott (1-2 with 1 RBI and 5 SB), Tanner Williams (2-4 with 4 RBIs), and Rob McClay (2-4 with 1 RBI). Jordan Choman gave the Mountain Lions the pitching that they needed. He went 6 innings, allowing only 4 H, 2 BB, 1 ER, and 7 K. Frank Brodi came in relief of Choman, going 3 innings, 2 H, 2 BB, 1 ER, and 3 K. 

PSU Wilkes-Barre is now 9-1 on the season, while PSU Hazleton is now 5-14.

The next game for PSU Wilkes-Barre will be at home on Friday against Penn State Schuylkill at 2 pm.
