Baseball's Season Comes to an End

Yesterday, Penn State Wilkes-Barre's Baseball team was eliminated from the PSUAC Tournament by Penn State Brandywine, in a 4-2 game. The Mountain Lions jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the top of the 1st, coming from a 2-run single by Leroy Fettig. PSU Brandywine then took the lead in the bottom of the 3rd after Matt Masi hit a 2-run home run. PSU Wilkes-Barre struggled at the plate the whole game, only getting 4 hits in all 7 innings.

Leroy Fettig led the way on offense for PSU Wilkes-Barre, going 2-3 with 2 RBIs. Eric Adamczyk and David Staskiel each had one hit, also. Jordan Choman and Brian Hardiman each pitched 3 innings for the Mountain Lions.

For PSU Brandywine, they were led by Matt Masi (1-3, 2 RBIs) and Joey Buoni (1-2, 2 RBIs). Their starting pitcher, Tyler Michaels, had a complete game with only 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, and 5 Ks.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre finishes the season with a record of 12-7-1.
