On Wednesday, September 28, 2022, Penn State Wilkes-Barre (PSWB) Soccer reigned victorious over Penn State Scranton (PSSN) with a final of 3-2; giving PSWB it's first victory in four years! This victory also becomes Head Coach Nathan Katz's first collegiate career win! Congratulations Coach! Led by Team Captain Sophomore #10 Riley Gerhardt (West Wyoming, PA/Wyoming Area) who scored a goal in the first half to tie the game before going into half time. In the second half Junior #7 Richard Wooditch (Dallas, PA/Dallas High School) and Sophomore #6 Ryan Hunt (Shavertown, PA/Lake-Lehman High School) each scored a goal with Hunt's being the game winning goal. Freshman Goalkeeer #1 Tyler Marchlenski (Plymouth, PA/Wyoming Valley West High) had 10 saves on 12 shots in the match. With an overall record of 1-2-1 PSWB looks to keep the momentum going for their next game on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 4PM home against Penn State York.
