DALLAS, Pa - The men's basketball team traveled to Penn State Wilkes-Barre on Saturday afternoon for some PSUAC action. Nathan Osei scored a team-high 19 points and recorded three steals as Penn State Mont Alto was outlasted by Penn State Wilkes-Barre, losing 79-74. Veron Talla scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds in the losing effort.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• With the score tied 10-10 early, Joe Brooks made a layup and Lee Newton coverted a dunk to push the Mont Alto lead to four points. 
• Mont Alto led 16-14, Wilkes-Barre converted a three point basket from Rashod Ballard and a free throw from Allen Ozojie to regain the lead 18-16.
• Veron Talla and Nathan Osei each made a layup on back-to-back possessions to lead 30-24 with 3:48 remaining in the first half.
• Wilkes-Barre ended the half on a 7-0 run to lead 33-30 at the half.
• Layups from Saihou Mbergan and Veron Talla helped Mont Alto to hold the lead at 40-39 with 14:52 left in the game.
• A pair of free throws from Darrius Bush swelled the Mont Alto advantage to eight at 49-41.
• With 8:09 remaining, Wilvens Fleurizard connected on a pair of free throws, capping off a 14-5 scoring run to give Wilkes-Barre a one point lead.
• Mont Alto would not regain the lead for the remainder of the game, losing to Wilkes-Barre 79-74.
