Baseball collects first win of the season.

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre Baseball team made up their game against Penn State Hazleton, which was originally scheduled last Friday. While it's no fun to have games canceled, this was worth the wait.  Penn State Wilkes-Barre captured their first regular and conference win of the season. Wilkes beat Hazleton 8-3 throughout 9 innings.  Collectively, Penn State Wilkes-Barre had 11 hits and 2 errors, while Hazleton had 12 hits and 3 errors.  Richard Sott and Leroy Fettig lead the team with three hits throughout the contest. Fettig also had 4 RBIs. Jordan Choman was the starting and winning pitcher, but Robb McClay lead the team with seven strike outs.  Penn State Wilkes-Barre will play a double header against Penn State Brandywine this Saturday, March 30th, at 2:00pm and 4:30 pm.
