Wilkes Barre Takes Game 2 of Doubleheader Against York

Wilkes Barre takes game 2 of the doubleheader against Penn State York on Sunday. Wilkes Barre won the game 3-1 to tie up the series 1-1 as they try to get back to their winning ways.

Wilkes Barre  scored the first run of the game in the top of the 4th. Tanner Williams got the inning started on a single back up the middle to center. He than stole second bases to advance himself into scoring position for Fettig. Leroy Fettig stepped up and hit a double to center which drove home Williams and put Wilkes Barre up 1-0. Once Wilkes Barre got the lead they refused to give it up. Wilkes Barre kept their 1-0 lead up to the 6th inning until they decided to add 2 more runs and go up 3-0. Brandon Hardiman started the 6th off with a walk. This brought up Tanner Williams who delievered a big homerun to right to birng their lead to 3-0. The homerun was Williams' first of the year and his 6th RBI. Wilkes Barre's Brandon Hardiman got the win this game as he pitched 5.1 strong innings giving up only 1 run on 3 hits and striking out a dazzeling 9 batters. Fagotti came in and closed out the game with 1.2 innings in relief giving up no hits and only walking one. 

Wilkes Barre's next game will be against Penn State Scranton on Friday, April 12th at Hilldale Park. Come out and support your mountain lions as they continue to dominate the PSUAC.
