Penn State Wilkes-Barre Are Going To Buffalo To Defend Their Title.
For the seventh straight season, The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team is in the USCAA Division 2 National Tournament as they have earned the No. 8 seed.
The Mountain Lions will start their defense of the national championship against ninth seeded Vermont State Randolph In the opening round Tuesday in Buffalo, New York.
"Going to the national tournament seven times in a row is a blessing and very humbling. To see how far this program has came since 2015 is amazing". Said Coach Hammett. The PSWB program owns three of the last five national championships and are confident they can capture number four. "We have worked extremely hard to put ourselves in a position to be selected. We have great experience and we have the pieces to three peat, I expect nothing less than us holding up the national championship trophy again March 15th" says Coach Hammett
The Penn State Wilkes-Barre Vs Vermont State Randolph game will be Tuesday March 11 at 12:15pm. We wish out men luck and hope to once again see them bring home the gold.
